Lammas Bridge – a cast iron footbridge over the Lugg, east of the railway station. It was removed when the river was straightened in that area as part of the flood alleviation scheme. In its place is a concrete accommodation bridge known as Butts Bridge, a reference to the old rifle range that lay towards Eaton Hill. The iron railings shown in the right bottom corner of picture 5 is where a syphon emerged which carried the River Pinsley under the railway when it was constructed in 1852/53.
